Australia stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the S&P/ASX 200 up 0.70% as gains in the tech and healthcare sectors led the way. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones, with Zip Co Ltd and Omni Bridgeway Ltd among the top performers. Gold futures rose to $2,097.45 a troy ounce, while the Australian dollar remained stable against the US dollar and fell against the Japanese Yen. The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 100.49.
