French company Safran has completed the acquisition of flight control and actuation activities from Collins Aerospace. The deal is expected to bring in $50 million in annual cost synergies by 2028. Collins Aerospace, with $1.55 billion in revenue in 2024, will now be part of Safran electronics and defense. The European Commission approved the transaction in April. CEO Olivier Andries sees this as an opportunity to strengthen Safran’s position in flight control and actuation.
