The Malaysia stock market has been on the rise, with the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index finishing at 1,457.41 after increasing by 3.19 points on Thursday. The market anticipates little change ahead of the new year, while the global forecast remains stable. On Wall Street, the major averages ended mixed and little changed. The Dow added 53.58 points, and the NASDAQ dipped 4.04 points, while the S&P 500 rose 1.77 points. Meanwhile, crude oil prices fell by 3 percent to $71.77 a barrel on Thursday, due to concerns about trade disruptions.
