The Australian stock market is slightly down today, below the 7,600 level. Most sectors are experiencing losses, with gold miners and technology stocks leading the way. Among major miners, Rio Tinto, BHP Group, and Fortescue Metals are all losing close to 1 percent. Oil stocks and tech stocks are also mostly lower, while the Aussie dollar is trading at $0.684 on Friday. On Wall Street, stocks turned in a lackluster performance during trading on Thursday, and crude oil prices fell sharply on easing concerns about trade disruptions.
