T-Mobile raised its annual forecast for postpaid net customer additions, expecting to add 6.1 to 6.4 million subscribers in 2025. The launch of postpaid Experience plans, including streaming services and a five-year price guarantee, contributed to the increase. The telecom giant added 830,000 postpaid phone customers in the second quarter, surpassing estimates.

T-Mobile’s aggressive promotions and add-on perks helped increase market share, with the company adding more subscribers than expected. The carrier also reached a deal to sell its 800 megahertz licenses to Grain Management for $2.9 billion in cash. T-Mobile plans to close its acquisition of United States Cellular on August 1 after FCC approval.

T-Mobile posted second-quarter total revenue of $21.13 billion, beating analysts’ estimates. The telecom giant’s shares rose 5% in extended trading. Competitors AT&T and Verizon also reported positive results, with AT&T beating profit estimates and Verizon raising its annual profit forecast. T-Mobile remains a strong player in the U.S. telecom industry.
