Intel is streamlining by spinning off its Network and Edge group, responsible for telecom chips. The company plans to be an anchor investor in the stand-alone business and seek outside capital. Rumored sale in May, the group brought in $5.8 billion in revenue in 2024. Similar to spinning off RealSense earlier.
TechCrunch reached out to Intel for more information on its plans and timeline for the spinout.
