Coca-Cola reported Q2 earnings and revenue that beat expectations, with strong demand in Europe offsetting weaker volume elsewhere. Net income rose to $3.81 billion, or 88 cents per share, up from $2.41 billion, or 56 cents per share, a year earlier. Organic revenue increased 5%, but global unit case volume fell 1%.

Despite challenges in some markets, Coke saw improved volume in the U.S. and Europe in Q2. North American volume fell 1%, with Hispanic consumers buying less due to unfounded rumors. Latin American unit case volume decreased 2%, Asia-Pacific dropped 3%, while EMEA saw volume growth of 3%.

Coke plans to introduce a cane sugar version of its namesake cola in the U.S. this fall. The company narrowed its outlook for comparable earnings per share growth to 3% for the full year. It reiterated its forecast that organic revenue will increase 5% to 6% in 2025.
