In 2023, home-and-auto insurance companies struggled to keep up with rising claim costs and reduced marketing spending. However, underwriting performance at Progressive has stabilized, and inflation in auto-repair costs is slowing but still impacting car-insurance expenses. As a result, we may see an increase in the presence of popular insurance advertising characters like Flo in 2024.
