Cinemark is adding 20 new ScreenX theaters, expanding its partnership with CJ 4DPlex. The immersive cinema format uses additional displays on the walls to create a 270-degree panoramic view. Moviegoers are gravitating towards premium large format screens post-pandemic, with PLF tickets representing 22% of domestic sales this year. Premium tickets cost an average of $17.61.
