Reckitt’s Mead Johnson Nutrition recalls baby formula powder from US -FDA By Reuters
From Investing.com:
Reckitt Benckiser Group’s Mead Johnson Nutrition (MJN) recalls select batches of Nutramigen Powder due to potential contamination with Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria. The specialty infant formula, primarily distributed in June, July, and August, tested negative for the bacteria. There are no reports of illnesses or adverse events, but customers are urged to dispose of the recalled products.
The containers were manufactured in June 2023 and have a “Use By Date” of “1 Jan 2025.” Reckitt Benckiser Group advises customers to discard the products if they belong to the recalled batches. Cronobacter bacteria can cause severe, life-threatening infections or meningitis, and may also cause bowel damage. No other U.S.-distributed Nutramigen batches or Reckitt products are affected.
