India stocks closed higher on Monday, with the Nifty 50 up 0.05%. Nestle India Ltd and Adani Enterprises Ltd were top performers, while Eicher Motors Ltd and Bharti Airtel Ltd were among the worst performers. The NSE saw 1378 rising stocks, 740 declining, and 66 unchanged. The USD/INR was down 0.01% to 83.24.

Nestle India Ltd shares reached all-time highs with a 2.98% increase, alongside a 2.94% gain in BSE Sensex 30. The India VIX, measuring Nifty 50 options, was up 1.22%. Gold Futures were down 0.56% at $2,071.80, while Crude oil for February delivery fell 0.61% to $71.33 a barrel. The USD Index Futures was up 0.15% at 101.06.
