Comcast exceeded second-quarter earnings and revenue estimates, despite losing broadband customers and facing stock impact due to broadband growth slowdown. Revenue was $30.31 billion, up 2% year over year. Net income rose to $11.12 billion, with adjusted earnings of $1.25 per share. The company lost 226,000 broadband customers but added 378,000 mobile customers. Revenue for Comcast’s connectivity and platforms business was up nearly 1%, while the company’s content and experiences business saw a 5.6% increase in revenue. NBCUniversal reported revenue growth of nearly 2%, with Peacock subscribers staying flat at 41 million.
