CRH, a building materials provider, is set to acquire Eco Material Technologies, a North American supplier of cementitious materials, for $2.1bn. The deal aims to enhance CRH’s position in North America’s cement market. Eco Material Technologies processes and recycles millions of tons of fly ash and gypsum annually. The acquisition is expected to be completed in 2025 pending regulatory approval. Financing will come from CRH’s available cash reserves with no impact on its credit ratings.
