Eversource Energy (ES) reported Q2 earnings of 96 cents per share, surpassing estimates by 1.05%. Revenues of $2.84 billion missed estimates by 10.9% but increased 12.2% year-over-year. Operating expenses rose 12.4%, operating income increased 10%, and interest expenses were 8.1% higher. Electric transmission and distribution segments saw earnings rise due to rate hikes and investments. ES expects 2025 earnings between $4.67-$4.82 per share with a long-term EPS growth rate of 5% to 7% through 2029. NRG Energy, Pinnacle West Capital Corporation, and Alliant Energy are set to report Q2 results soon.
