German sportswear brand Puma anticipates a low double-digit percentage decrease in sales for 2025 due to a 2% decline in Q2 sales to €1.94bn. Wholesale business dropped 6.3%, but direct-to-consumer business grew 9.2% to €601.1m. Adjusted EBIT decreased to €-13.2m, resulting in a net loss of €-247m for the first half of 2025.

Puma plans to address the subdued sales trend by intensifying efforts to reduce inventory levels, despite facing challenges from US tariffs impacting gross profit by €80m in 2025. The company expects a full-year loss for EBIT due to softer sales, currency headwinds, and cost alignment measures.

Andreas Hubert has been appointed as Puma’s new chief operating officer, overseeing global sourcing operations, sustainability, product development, IT, and logistics. This move consolidates management of these areas under one leader to enhance operational efficiency within the company’s leadership structure.
