The CRE simplifies smart contract development by reducing time to weeks and adding a layer of abstraction for managing complexity. Developers can write in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Go on the CRE, which orchestrates actions of Chainlink’s decentralized oracle network across multiple chains. Recent reports highlight successful crosschain settlements using the CRE by Chainlink, JPMorgan, Kinexys, and Ondo Finance. JPMorgan is also working on merging institutional-grade payments with onchain assets.
