Octopus Electric Vehicles and Mastercard have teamed up to offer small businesses a salary sacrifice scheme for electric vehicle (EV) leasing. Employees can save up to 40% on monthly car expenses by allocating pre-tax salary towards an EV lease. The partnership aims to reduce carbon footprints and offer cost-effective employee benefits.

Charging an EV with Octopus Energy’s tariff could lead to additional savings compared to traditional fuel costs. Octopus Electric Vehicles founder Fiona Howarth highlights the financial benefits for both drivers and employers. The collaboration with Mastercard aims to promote sustainable travel alternatives for small business cardholders within the Mastercard Business Bonus programme.

Mastercard’s Darren Deal praises the collaboration with Octopus EV to provide sustainable travel options for small businesses.
