GSK plc will receive an upfront settlement of $370 million from CureVac N.V. as part of an mRNA patent settlement. GSK will also get a 1 percent royalty on US sales of mRNA vaccines by BioNTech and Pfizer starting in 2025. The deal includes reduced royalties for future mRNA products. If the pending acquisition of CureVac by BioNTech goes through, GSK could receive an additional $130 million and royalties. GSK will continue litigation against BioNTech and Pfizer for patent infringement. GSK has agreed to tender its 16.6 million CureVac shares in an upcoming offer.
