The stock market continued its upward trend on Friday afternoon, with the Nasdaq Composite up 1% and the S&P 500 up 0.8%, both on track for closing highs. The Dow was also up 252 points, or 0.6%. Nine out of 11 major sectors were rising, and 300 S&P 500 stocks were on track for gains, indicating solid breadth in the market.
