Americans’ enthusiasm for pick-up trucks dipped in 2023. A study by iSeeCars found that the Ford F-150 remains the best-selling used vehicle, followed closely by the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Gas prices drove consumers toward smaller, more fuel-efficient models, leading the Ram 1500 to fall from the top three in favor of the Chevrolet Equinox. Meanwhile, Tesla Model 3 became the best-selling electric vehicle, with the Model Y following suit. The Chevy Bolt and Nissan Leaf also saw growth in sales. Despite the emergence of electric vehicles, the F-150 remained the best-selling car in 34 states and several major metropolitan areas. This trend is likely to continue as customers seek cost-effective purchases and ownership.
