Alphabet (GOOGL) Adds Shortcuts to Pixel Launcher on Android

Alphabet’s GOOGL Google added Pixel Launcher shortcuts on Android, introducing a Pixel Launcher search shortcut to display “password” or “password manager” search options with an expanded temperature card. The move aims to gain traction across Pixel users and boost Android offerings. Alphabet’s shares have gained 61.2% in the past year, outperforming Computer & Technology sector growth.
Google introduced a Pixel Launcher feature to launch “voice search” instead of Assistant, along with interactive Quick Settings Tiles, an updated app search functionality, and a new Messages shortcut display. This update will bolster Google Services, expected to drive Alphabet’s total revenues and financial performance. The Zacks Consensus Estimate for 2024 total revenues is $283.39 billion, with a 11.26% year-over-year growth, and a $6.74 per share earnings estimate, indicating 15.6% year-over-year growth.
Alphabet carries a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy), with the majority of revenues expected from Google Services. Other top-ranked stocks in the broader technology sector include Camtek (CAMT), KT (KT), and Everbridge (EVBG), each possessing a Zacks Rank #1 (Strong Buy) at present, indicating potential growth for investors.
