Despite the impact of tariffs on July’s consumer-price index, the Federal Reserve is expected to cut interest rates in September. Traders are even predicting up to three rate cuts by December. The CPI report led to record highs for the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite, with Treasury yields falling across the board.
