A2 Milk Co. acquires a New Zealand infant-formula business and plans to invest NZ$100m to boost factory capacity. The company also sells its majority stake in Mataura Valley Milk. A2 Milk clarifies that Danone is no longer a shareholder in Yashili New Zealand Dairy. The acquisition is part of A2 Milk’s supply chain transformation strategy.

A2 Milk’s CEO states the acquisition of the Pokeno manufacturing facility is a crucial move for the company. The Pokeno facility has been involved in developing A2 Milk’s English label formulas. Revenue and profits increased for A2 Milk in the 2025 fiscal year. The company will sell its stake in Mataura Valley Milk for NZ$100m.

A2 Milk expects to incur a NZ$130m loss from the sale of Mataura Valley Milk. The company will continue to be supplied with A1 protein-free ingredients from MVM. A multi-year NZ$100m investment in the Pokeno factory will create over 100 new jobs. A2 Milk reports a 13.5% increase in sales revenue in 2025.

A2 Milk’s EBITDA climbed 17.1% to NZ$274.3m, with a margin of 14.4%. Net profit after tax rose 21.1% to NZ$202.9m. Basic EPS increased by 20.9% to 28 cents. Looking ahead to 2026, A2 Milk expects revenue growth in the high-single-digit area with an EBITDA margin of 15% to 16%.
