Keystone Brewing Group will produce and distribute for UK business People’s Captain, expanding its licence contracts which already include brands like Hofmeister and Big Drop. People’s Captain, founded by ex-rugby player Greg Bateman, previously used contract brewers like Magic Rock.

Keystone recently acquired UK brewer Magic Rock, gaining an exclusive license to produce its beers. People’s Captain’s beer will be made at Keystone’s Purity site in the West Midlands, with distribution to both on- and off-trade customers in the UK. The brand aims for national growth.

Keystone sees strategic benefits in adding People’s Captain to its portfolio, citing growth potential and a purpose-driven ethos that resonates with consumers prioritizing mental well-being and social impact. The company aims to double its revenue in the next year, targeting £100m by 2028.

Keystone Brewing Group, formed last year after private equity firm Breal acquired UK brewers, is on track to reach £20m ($26.9m) in revenue for the 12 months ending May. CEO Steve Cox views People’s Captain as a bold, values-driven brand with a compelling story, aligning with Keystone’s mission to champion meaningful messages in the industry.
