The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) welcomes Elena Poeschl to its Global Preparers Forum (GPF) for a five-year term. GPF members offer input from financial statement preparers, chosen for their expertise in accounting. Poeschl, with over 20 years of experience, will contribute her knowledge in financial reporting and regulatory frameworks. She is currently head of financial accounting at Zurich Insurance Company. The IFRS Foundation recently released near-final examples to aid companies in reporting financial uncertainties, particularly in climate-related scenarios. These examples, developed with the International Sustainability Standards Board, aim to guide companies in using existing IFRS Accounting Standards, with finalisation expected by October 2025.
