Alphabet (GOOGL) To Boost Google Maps With 3D View Update
From Nasdaq:
Alphabet’s Google is enhancing its Android offerings, contributing to the company’s 56.2% stock growth in the past year. As part of this, it is introducing a 3D building display feature on Google Maps for mobile navigation and Android Auto, allowing users to view 3D buildings while navigating.
Additionally, Google has added a new color palette feature and more updates to its Maps, and is set to introduce features that will enable users to delete place-related activity on Android and iOS. All of these are expected to boost its Google Services segment revenues, indicating a projected year-over-year growth of 11.26% by 2024.
These efforts will enable Google to compete effectively against peers like Apple and Microsoft, who are also improving their maps offerings.
