Mexico’s headline inflation is expected to rise to 3.66% in the first half of August, up from 3.48% in July. Core inflation is projected to accelerate to 4.27%. The Bank of Mexico recently cut its interest rate to 7.75%, the lowest in three years. The market predicts the rate to end 2025 at 7.50%.

Inflation data will be released by Mexico’s national statistics institute on Friday. The central bank’s minutes from the recent meeting, where rates were cut by 25 basis points, will be released Thursday. Economic uncertainty due to U.S. trade policies is impacting Mexico’s growth. Consumer prices are expected to rise by 0.12%, with the core index increasing by 0.14%.
