Cher is battling with her son Elijah Blue Allman over a conservatorship she claims is necessary to save him from drug addiction

A judge has declined to immediately put Cher’s son Elijah Blue Allman into the legal conservatorship that Cher is seeking and he is opposing. The Oscar and Grammy-winning singer and actor filed a petition for control of her son’s finances saying he won’t be able to manage his money and put his life in danger. Cher’s attorneys were uwnilling to share material with Allman’s lawyers to make their case but he said the conservatorship is unnecessary. Allman acknowledged struggles with addiction and irresponsible spending but said he’s under medical care and has been sober for over three months. Cher did not attend the hearing.
