The Taiwan stock market snapped a four-day losing streak, closing just above the 22,965-point level on Monday. Global markets are expected to open lower ahead of the U.S. presidential election and Federal Reserve rate decision. The TSE rose 0.81%, led by financial and technology stocks. The Dow, NASDAQ, and S&P 500 all finished in the red on Wall Street. Traders are cautious ahead of the U.S. election and the Fed’s monetary policy decision. Oil prices surged on OPEC’s decision to delay production increases and Middle East tensions. West Texas Intermediate crude closed at $71.47 a barrel.
