Rhythm Pharmaceuticals has had their supplemental New Drug Application for setmelanotide accepted by the FDA for the treatment of conditions associated with acquired hypothalamic obesity. The FDA has granted Priority Review and set a PDUFA goal date of December 20, 2025. The European Medicines Agency has also validated the Type II variation submission for setmelanotide for the same indication, with the review process already in progress.
