For those who don’t necessarily have a disorder, Dry January can offer short-term benefits such as weight loss and improved sleep. However, it may lead to overindulgence in February or not prompt long-term change. The move towards nonalcoholic beverages has surged in the past year, but these options pale in comparison to the real deal. Ultimately, is there a need to give up alcohol, even for a month? The decision is personal, and caution is advised for all.
