Indian shares opened higher on Monday, with the BSE Sensex up 225 points and the NSE Nifty index rising by 80 points. IT stocks like Tech Mahindra and Infosys climbed 2-3 percent, while Max Healthcare fell 1.2 percent as its shares will be added to the Nifty 50 index. IndusInd Bank and Hero MotoCorp, being removed from the index, were up around 1 percent each. Yes Bank rose over 2 percent after receiving RBI approval for a stake acquisition. Brigade Enterprises advanced 1.6 percent after announcing a new residential project.
