Canada’s Air Transat reaches new deal with flight attendants’ union By Reuters

From Investing.com:

A union representing 2,100 flight attendants at Air Transat reaches an agreement over a new labor contract, avoiding potential operational disruption. The deal will be presented to members for a vote in the next few days. Earlier this month, the flight attendants rejected a tentative agreement due to inadequate pay raises. Other airlines have faced similar disputes over compensation for boarding time. Labor unions are aggressively seeking better pay, benefits, and working conditions from airlines. Alaska Air flight attendants will vote on a strike authorization from Feb. 13, while Transat flight attendants in Canada previously voted to authorize a strike with 72 hours’ notice. The collective agreement for flight attendants in Montreal and Toronto expired on Oct. 31, 2022.
