TGS, PGS, and SLB have secured prefunding to expand seismic data coverage in the Sabah Basin, Malaysia. The project will include acquiring over 5,000 kilometers of new 2D seismic data and processing over 2,600 kilometers of legacy seismic data. The data is expected to aid in promoting future bid rounds and assessing exploration opportunities in the area. The project started in November 2023 and is anticipated to be completed in February 2024. The results will be available for evaluation during the 2024 Malaysia Bid Round. This project is supported by industry funding.
