SD Guthrie and Gamuda Energy have formed a partnership to develop 1.2GW of solar power assets in Malaysia, targeting industrial and data center sectors to meet growing renewable energy demand. Guthrie Group aims to start operations of a 15MW solar plant in Kedah by 2025, with plans to create value through Corporate Renewable Energy Supply Schemes. The partnership will focus on identifying underutilized land assets for solar development to enhance Guthrie’s long-term land portfolio value.
