Ontic, a security intelligence software platform, has secured $230m in a Series C funding round led by KKR. The investment will focus on enhancing Ontic’s AI capabilities to deliver faster threat detection and expand internationally. The funding round also saw participation from JMI Equity, Silverton Partners, Ridge Ventures, and Ten Eleven Ventures.
Established in 2017 and based in Austin, Texas, Ontic assists security teams in monitoring, analysing, and responding to physical threats. The platform is used by Fortune 50 companies in various sectors and plans to support global enterprises and the US public sector.
Ontic’s Connected Intelligence Platform acts as a command centre for security teams, transitioning from reactive to proactive operations. It aggregates open-source intelligence and internal data, covering risk intelligence, incident management, investigations, and case management, providing a unified view of the risk landscape.
KKR partner Jake Heller believes Ontic is setting the standard for modern security operations with its integrated intelligence platform. This latest funding builds on Ontic’s $40m Series B investment round completed in November 2021, positioning them as a leader in the growing physical security solutions market.
