UK grocery retailer Asda partners with Lloyds for a new supply chain finance scheme to promote sustainability among domestic suppliers. Suppliers will receive preferential financing rates based on sustainability performance and data sharing. Asda collaborates with EcoVadis to evaluate suppliers’ environmental, social, and ethical practices. Program starts in October with no disruptions for existing suppliers. Lloyds supports Asda’s ESG goals by rewarding sustainability efforts. Asda invests £11.8m in store refurbishments in Yorkshire.
