HIVE Digital Technologies Ltd. (HIVE) mined a total of 3,260 Bitcoins in the 2023 calendar year, marking a 100% increase in hashrate from 2 EH/s to 4 EH/s. The company maintained approximately 1% of the global Bitcoin mining network, earning an average of 9 Bitcoins per day throughout the year.

The global Bitcoin mining network continued to attract more efficient machines, resulting in a 100% increase in Mining Difficulty from January to December 2023. HIVE’s hashrate grew from 2 EH/s to 4 EH/s, allowing the company to maintain 1% of the total Bitcoin rewards mined in 2023.

HIVE ended the year with $17 million in cash and a Bitcoin HODL position of 1,704 BTC. The company intends to HODL its Bitcoin until the upcoming Halving, which is expected to occur in April 2024.

On the topic of Bitmain S19k Pro update, HIVE has received all 9,800 Bitmain S19k Pro Antminers, with 70% already installed. Upon completion, the company is expected to have 4.8 EH/s of ASICs with an average fleet efficiency of 28.7 J/TH. Additionally, the installation of 7,000 Bitmain S21 Antminers is set to begin in January 2024, leading to a total of 5.6 EH/s of active mining capacity.
