Transamerica has named Jason Frain as head of Retirement Solutions, overseeing product strategy and development for plan sponsors and participants. Frain brings 30 years of retirement and annuity product experience, previously working at Brighthouse Financial. His goal is to enhance long-term outcomes and build a leading middle-market life insurance and retirement company.

Frain will report to Jamie Ohl, president of Protection Solutions and Savings & Investments at Transamerica. Ohl praised Frain’s ability to blend actuarial rigor with commercial instincts, emphasizing customer needs and risk discipline. Frain expressed admiration for Transamerica’s brand and commitment to driving better retirement outcomes, aiming to provide simple, high-impact products for employers and participants.

Transamerica operates as part of the Aegon group of companies, providing life insurance, retirement, and investment solutions. In January, the company launched a rebranding initiative to mark 120 years in the insurance industry. The new brand identity, including a redesigned logo, symbolizes the various stages of life and the support Transamerica offers its customers throughout these phases.
