Citizens JMP raised Precigen Inc.’s price target from $6 to $8, maintaining an Outperform rating. The approval of PAPZIMEOS for respiratory papillomatosis treatment prompted the increase, making it the only FDA-approved therapy for adult RRP patients.
The approval of PAPZIMEOS by the FDA allows all adult RRP patients access to the first approved therapy for the disease. Precigen’s President and CEO, Helen Sabzevari, highlighted the significance of this milestone in treating respiratory papillomatosis.
The wholesale acquisition cost of PAPZIMEOS is $460,000 per patient, more than double the previous estimate of $200,000. Precigen focuses on developing gene and cell therapies for immuno-oncology, autoimmune disorders, and infectious diseases.
