In July 2025, national pending home sales saw a 0.4% decrease month-over-month and a 0.7% increase year-over-year. Regional data shows varying trends, with the West seeing a 3.7% increase month-over-month but a 1.9% decrease year-over-year. The Northeast had a 0.6% decrease in both categories, while the Midwest saw a 4.0% decrease month-over-month but a 1.3% increase year-over-year. The South had a 0.1% decrease month-over-month but a 1.8% increase year-over-year. These figures are based on the Pending Home Sales Index, a leading indicator for the housing sector.
