Ten-year Treasury yield holds above 4% as traders parse latest Fedspeak

U.S. bond yields hold steady. The yield on the 2-year treasury advanced to 4.367%, the 10-year rose to 4.027% and the 30-year was up to 4.185%. The easing in financial conditions could cause a reacceleration of economic growth or inflation. Traders await December U.S. consumer price index and producer prices report. The U.S. trade deficit narrowed 2%. Analysts predict the FOMC will shift its policy bias to ‘neutral’ at the Jan. 31 meeting. There are new concerns about global GDP growth and global profit growth.
