Dutch company ViCentra secures $85m funding to launch Kaleido insulin patch pump in the US after successful rollout in Germany, France, and the Netherlands, exceeding expectations in 2023.

Funding will support increased manufacturing capacity and FDA filing for US market entry. Series D round led by Innovation Industries, with existing investors participating.

Global insulin pump market set to grow to over $16bn by 2034. In the US, Dexcom holds 20.2% market share, followed by Abbott and Insulet. ViCentra collaborates with Dexcom and Diabeloop for closed-loop system in Kaleido 2.
