Tesla (TSLA) ad spend on X drops drastically

Tesla (TSLA) spent $400,000 on X ads in 2024 but only $10,000 in the first two months of 2025. The company’s advertising slowed down after the initial push last year. CEO Elon Musk gave in to shareholder pressure in 2023 to start advertising. Google shows Tesla still has active ads, but spending may have decreased.

Tesla paid SpaceX $800,000 for a private jet in 2024, but only $40,000 through February 2025. Security costs for Musk totaled $2.8 million in 2024, with $500,000 spent through February 2025. xAI paid Tesla $198.3 million for Megapack products last year, with an additional $36.8 million through the first two months of 2025.

Kimbal Musk’s drone company, Nova Sky Stories, received $300,000 from Tesla for a show at the “We, Robot” event in October 2024. Musk’s success has benefited his brother, who is a board member at Tesla. Musk companies have engaged in significant financial transactions, including advertising expenses and private jet usage.
