A subsidiary of Fosun International achieved a milestone by introducing a blockchain infrastructure for stock performance-linked tokens in Asia. The solution was developed in collaboration with FinChain in Hong Kong, with the first token created for Fosun’s Sisram Medical valued at US$328 million.

RWA tokenisation, creating digital representations of traditional assets on a blockchain, is gaining traction. Finloop’s solution is seen as a paradigm for stock tokenisation in Hong Kong and Asia, aligning with the city’s push to become a global digital asset hub.

In a groundbreaking move, Hong Kong issued the world’s first offshore yuan-denominated tokenised public bond on the Ethereum blockchain. GF Securities Brokerage raised 500 million yuan for Shenzhen Futian Investment Holdings, with a 2.62% coupon and an A- rating from Fitch.

Fosun announced plans to issue RWA shares and corporate bonds on Vaulta, a blockchain-based banking network. Tokenised real-world assets are projected to reach US$30 trillion by 2034, indicating strong market demand for digital asset initiatives.

Yunfeng Financial Group, backed by Alibaba’s Jack Ma, invested US$44 million in acquiring 10,000 ether and is exploring RWA tokenisation. Ant Digital Technologies, an affiliate of Ant Group, is promoting its blockchain platform in Hong Kong for asset tokenisation following the stablecoin law.

Finloop secured nearly US$10 million in a Series A funding round, with support from investors like the Solana Foundation. The company manages over HK$5 billion in assets for more than 200 business clients, showcasing its growth and success in the market.
