This move builds upon Gilead’s two FDA-approved CAR T-cell therapies, Yescarta and Tecartus, for certain blood cancers. Interius, spun out of the University of Pennsylvania, was the first biotech to advance an in vivo CAR T-cell therapy into a clinical trial.
