The Japanese stock market rose more than 2 percent over the past two sessions, with the Nikkei 225 just below 43,020 points. However, concerns about the American economy may lead to a downward trend on Monday. On Friday, the Nikkei closed over 1 percent higher at 43,018.75, driven by gains in financial, technology, and automobile sectors. In contrast, Wall Street ended in the red, with the Dow falling 0.48 percent, NASDAQ down 0.03 percent, and S&P 500 sinking 0.32 percent. The drop followed weaker than expected U.S. job growth data for August. Japan is set to release Q2 GDP numbers, July current account data, and August bank lending figures.
