Robinhood (HOOD) Joins S&P 500 along with Applovin (APP) and Emcor Group (EME).
Robinhood Markets (HOOD) will join the S&P 500 index on Sept. 22 due to a surge in profitability and stock performance driven by strong cryptocurrency trading. The stock has tripled in 2025, trading above $100 per share. The company became profitable in 2024, reporting $1.56 per share. Wall Street projects $1.64 per share in profit for 2025. The SEC closed an investigation earlier this year, supporting Robinhood’s growth. Shares rose 13.8% on the S&P 500 announcement.
AppLovin (APP) also gained 11.5%. Emcor Group (EME) will join the index alongside Robinhood and AppLovin.
