Hyundai Motor Group saw a nearly 11% increase in sales in the US in August 2025, reaching 179,455 units, the highest monthly volume ever. The rise was fueled by strong demand for SUVs and eco-friendly models.

Sales for Hyundai and Genesis in the US rose by 11.3% to 96,448 units last month. The Palisade SUV deliveries increased by 39% to 15,560 units, while the Ioniq 5 BEV saw a 61% surge to 7,773 units. The Tucson remained the best-selling model.

Hyundai Motor North America’s CEO, Randy Parker, expressed that August was a standout month with sales surpassing previous records. Hyundai’s sales, excluding Genesis models, increased by 12% in the first eight months of the year to 607,346 units.

Kia reported a 10.4% increase in sales to 83,007 units in August. The Sportage SUV sales rose by 19% to 18,023 units, with the EV9 BEV achieving 2,679 sales. In the first eight months of 2025, Kia’s US sales increased by 9% to 570,641 units.

Kia’s best-selling model in the first eight months of the year was the Sportage with sales rising by 11% to 119,587 units. This was followed by the K4 with 98,814 units (+5%), and the Telluride with 84,090 units (+15%).
