The upcoming AI agent will be integrated into the vehicle’s system and utilize Cerence xUI’s capabilities. It will adapt to the user’s current situation, offering a safer and less distracting experience whether driving, in an autonomous vehicle, or parked. Voice commands can compose messages, manage calendars, and create detailed documents.

Cerence AI’s collaboration with Microsoft extends to delivering “automotive-grade” technology in vehicles since the beginning of 2024. They have developed an embedded small language model, CaLLM Edge, utilizing Microsoft’s Phi-3 SLMs and Cerence’s automotive data. This AI is designed to handle various automotive scenarios effectively.
